What a Retrofit Assessment Includes
PAS 2035 is the UK standard that governs how energy efficiency improvements are designed and delivered in existing homes. It makes sure retrofit projects are properly assessed, planned and checked so they’re safe, effective and good value in the long term.
A retrofit assessment looks at the whole property – its construction, insulation, heating, ventilation and any existing issues such as damp or drafts. Assessments are usually instructed by Retrofit Coordinators, installers, landlords or local authorities to support funded schemes and private projects.
The findings from the assessment feed directly into the Retrofit Coordinator’s Improvement Plan. This plan sets out which measures are recommended, in what order, and how they should be installed to meet PAS 2035 requirements.
